Top Countries to Study Nursing

Many Bangladeshi students choose countries where nursing education includes strong clinical training and a clear pathway to licensure and work opportunities. Below are popular destinations and what each offers for aspiring nurses.

United Kingdom

The UK offers structured nursing degrees with clinical placements from the first year. Students can specialise through pathways like adult, child, or mental health nursing. With proper registration through the NMC, graduates have access to hospital placements and long-term career options across England, Scotland, and Wales.

Canada

Canada provides practical and theory-based programs that focus on patient care and community health. Students experience strong support during studies and clinical practice hours. After graduation, eligible students can apply for a post-study work permit and prepare for licensing exams required to work as a registered nurse.

Australia

Australian universities are known for clinical simulation labs and hospital training. Courses focus on modern healthcare practices, patient safety, and communication skills. After completing studies, qualified graduates may be able to apply for work rights and professional registration, depending on program choice and eligibility criteria.

New Zealand

New Zealand offers nursing programs with a strong emphasis on hands-on learning and patient care. Students complete clinical hours in approved healthcare settings. After graduation, eligible students can pursue nursing registration and explore work opportunities in hospitals and community care environments.

United States

Nursing programs in the United States are known for in-depth coursework and strong clinical practice. Students gain exposure to many healthcare specialties. After graduation, candidates prepare for the NCLEX exam to qualify for nursing roles. Work opportunities may depend on individual visa pathways and employer sponsorship.
